Fayez has been running in good handicaps and this was his fifth win. He has also been placed eight times and has achieved earnings in excess of €50,000. Carrying top weight in this valuable handicap he was held up in last place, made his effort 1F out and stayed on to lead in the final strides. It was a spare ride for jockey Scott McCullagh.
Fayez came into the race with an official rating of 86 and this result should move him into the 90’s where winning will become more difficult.
