In the Sea The Stars colours of Christopher Tsui, Seas Of Wells was sent off favourite to win her Maiden and duly accomplished what was expected of her for trainer John Oxx and rider Declan McDonogh at the Curragh.

The Dansili filly, a 310,000 guineas yearling from the family of Damson, is pacey, and she put her stamp on this six furlong contest with a nice change of gear from over a furlong out.

Oxx explained: “She’s a professional little thing – she’s nicely bred but she’s very small and you’d put her in your pocket.

“She’s sharp and I don’t know if she’ll want any further than that.

“We’ll step her up now and see if we can get some black-type and she’ll be a mating for Sea the Stars down the line.

“She works like she’s a sprinter.”
