Alrahy (American Pharoah X Circulation) was bred in the USA, sold in Newmarket to Saudi Arabia and did his racing there. Placed twice at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh in 2024 he reappeared after the long hot summer at King Khalid Racourse in Taif on August 16th. Taif is called the unofficial summer capital of Saudi Arabia and it is known for the famous 20th century Shubra Palace. With its milder climate racing begins earlier than at Riyadh.
Over this 1m trip Alrahy showed the large sixteen horse field a clean pair of heels being well in front for most of the journey. He broke from stall 4 and got on the rails after the first furlong. For most of the trip he bolled along in front with a margin of six lengths and had a comfortable three lengths to spare at the winning post.
Circulation is an Oasis Dream mare from the family of Twice Over and was purchased by Epona Bloodstock at Keeneland. She has a Blackbeard yearling filly which will be sold in Book Two in October.
