Bedouin became the fifth winner from six runners from the G2 winning mare Jewel in the Sand. The genes from her dam Dancing Drop and her grand dam Moon Drop are obviously being passed on. Both have produced multiple group winners and between them have had fifteen winners from nineteen progeny to race. Jewel in the Sands only runner to not win has produced black type winning colt Wall of Fire who at two and three years has already earned Stg. £118,000.
In winning this race at Nottingham – the Genting Casino American Classified Stakes – Bedouin showed his liking for his favourite distance of 1m2f. He was ridden to lead at the 1f mark and went clear. He is likely to make a fast return to the racecourse.
