Broome has only raced on twelve occasions, with ten of those in pattern company.  He is a multiple group winner with an official rating of 115.  He finished 4th in a blanket finish at the Epsom Derby in 2019 beaten by just a half a length.  Off the track since the 29th of June 2019 he made just two appearances in June and October in 2020.  Obviously not all was right.  His patient trainer, Aiden O’Brien, never gave up and persuaded his owners of his talents and the possibility of many group races in 2021.  Aiden’s patience was rewarded and his reappearance in the Plusvital Devoy Stakes was eagerly awaited.  He did not disappoint his trainer, his owners and his fans being eased down long before the post but still winning by three lengths.  His trainer declared that he is targeting all the middle distance GR1 races such as the Tattersalls Gold Cup, the Coronation Stakes and Royal Ascot.  Broome has a host of siblings still to follow:-

A Frankel filly, now a 3YO, purchased by Shadwell Estate for €500 k

A full brother colt by Australia purchased by Coolmore for Stg. £575 k

A Lope de Vega yearling filly which will be sold in Book One at Tattersalls in October

A Frankel foal

The dam Sweepstake is booked to visit Australia in 2021.
