To date Broome has run in the fifteen group races, winning six and being second in four.  The seconds include being touched off twice in GR1 contests and failing by just a short head.  His jockey Colin Keane employed different tactics in the GR1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, went straight into the lead from the stalls and was never headed.  His total earnings now exceed Stg. £700,000.

He seems to love his racing and in Paris he pricked his ears and enjoyed the gallop from start to finish.  When others came at him in the home straight he just put down his head and was not going to be passed, galloping all the way to the line.

His next options include the King George on July 24th and the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe in October.  He has proven that he can perform on any ground.

We would like to congratulate all involved and in particular Masaaki Matsushima who bought a share in Broome as a 3YO and had to patiently wait for Broome to come right after just two appearances at four.  Since the 28th of March this year he has won a GR1, GR2, GR3, a Listed and he has been 2nd in his two other appearances at GR1 level.
