Broome got an easy introduction to racing on July 15th, finishing 5th to his stable mate in Killarney. Starting as a money on favourite the result was never in doubt, leading from start to finish. He is the first winner by the sire Australia, in Ireland.
Broome is the fourth winner out of his dam Sweepstake, herself a pattern winner. Sweepstake has an Invincible Spirit filly at the Tattersalls October Sale Book 2 and has a Frankel filly foal on the ground.
Trainer Aiden O’Brien says that he will be shortly looking at a black type race and that we will see the best of Broome over middle distances next year.
