California already a multiple winner and listed placed in 2015 got off the mark at Ascot in winning the Cushman and Wakefield EBF Breeders Series and also collected the John Travers Memorial Trophy. She challenged to lead inside the final furlong and stayed on well to win by one and a half lengths. This was her first win at a mile and a half and she stayed the trip well drawing away at the line. Winning a black type race is now back on her agenda.
Her dam Maskaya is now dead but she remains an excellent prospect to carry on an outstanding breeding line.
