Diego Valazques won at the Curragh on August 12th, his trainer named the KPMG Champions Juvenile Stakes GR2 at Leopardstown as his next target.  Going to post at the very short price of 8/15 he duly obliged to make it two wins from two starts.  On this occasion he left his stable companion make the running, but never moved from 2nd place.  Shaken up in the final hundred yards he had half a length to spare at the post but won drawing away.  The third horse was a full four lengths behind.

His trainers has named the Racing Post Trophy (GR1) at Doncaster as his next target, following the course chosen by this years Irish and English Derby winner Auguste Rodin.  Diego is already favourite for the 2024 English Derby.
