When Dutch Kingdom, rated 79 at the beginning of the year, won on November 22nd with his new rating of 70 we predicted there would be more wins if the handicapper was lenient.  In the opening race at Lingfield he was given just 2 lbs extra to carry and won by half a length from the favourite with the third horse two lengths further back.

As in his previous race he stayed close to the pace and took the lead at the furlong mark.  He was always in control, with the favourite giving everything and trying hard to catch him.

He could well achieve a hat trick in the weeks ahead and great credit must go to his trainer Darryll Holland and to his patient owners who deserve the wins.
