When Epidemic won over a mile at Windsor on May 31^st I suggested he would even be better over further.  On Thursday at Leicester he stepped up to one mile two furlongs and gained his second victory.  Since his first victory his rating has increased by 7 lbs, but more wins can be expected at this distance or even further.

On this eight runner field, William Buick, his jockey, had him prominent most of the way, moving into 2^nd at the 3f pole and taking the lead 1f out.  Though he faced a strong challenge in this final furlong he was always doing enough to maintain his leading position.

Further handicap wins can not be far away.
