Foundation (Zoffany X Roystonea) lived up to his reputation on the gallops by winning the maiden stakes at Haydock being back down to a price of 11-10.  Coming last out of the stalls he made his effort three furlongs out and forged clear in the final furlong.  He holds entries for most of the Group 1 races before year end including the Champagne Stakes, the Royal Lodge and the Dewhurst.  He was purchased by John and Jake Warren at the Orby sale and was one of the two Zoffany’s sold by Croom House – the other being the filly Illuminate.

Congratulations to Highclere Thoroughbred Racing and to the trainer John Gosden.
