Janey Mackers (New Bay X Stor Mo Chroi) ran twice as a 2YO and when it romped home on October 25th by six lengths she looked to have group races in her sight as a 3YO.  She reappeared in May in a listed race at Newmarket and her three runs in May, June and July were all disappointing.  Not so when she turned out at Newbury on September 19th in the valuable Fitzdares Handicap.  Going to post as the 5/1 second favourite, victory was never in doubt where she stayed with the pace and took over with 1f to go.

The handicapper has certainly noticed the ease of this victory and has given her a new rating of 92.  However if she lives up to her 2YO expectations further victories will be on the cards.

Stor Mo Chroi does not have a yearling but had a St. Mark’s Basilica early foal this year and is now back in foal to New Bay.
