Point Lonsdale was the talked about horse since his victory in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 19th.  That was to be expected as both he and the runner up had pulled right away from the remainder of the field.  Runner up then won his next race by four lengths on July 16th at Newbury.

Against this background Point Lonsdale went off a 1/5 chance at Leopardstown on July 22nd in the Tyros Stakes Group 3.  He had a comfortable victory winning by three lengths and with a further three and a half lengths back to the third.  He remains the favourite for the 2022 Two Thousand Guineas and Epsom Derby.

His trainer said he will have a further outing in a GR2 or GR1 race in the Autumn before being put away for the winter.
