Salt Spray (Kodiac X Taste the Salt) ran once as a 2YO on December 2022 and had a long lay off until reappearing at Churchill Downs on Saturday.  His narrow defeat in December as a pointer adds to his talent when he went to post favourite at Churchill Downs.  Drawn widest of all in post ten disputed the lead from the stalls and took up the running from the home turn.  He had three quarters of a length to spare at the line.

Salt Spray is the second produce out of Taste the Salt with her first Bated Breath filly, a multiple winner.  Her 2YO by Gleneagles is unraced and her Mehmas yearling colt sells at the Orby.  She has a filly foal, a full sister to Salt Spray on the ground.
