Solid Stone had his first group win on August 28th. He wasted little time and turned out again in Newbury on September 18th to contest the GR3 Dubai Duty Free Legacy stakes.
Running against higher grade horses he went to post at odds of 12/1. His jockey William Buick and the horse made light of these odds and led the field until the final furlong. When passed Solid Stone put down his head and again struck the front in the final 50 yards to win pulling away. This brings his total winnings to €220,000 and he now has an official rating of 112.
