Unique Journey is the son of Surround, herself being a daughter of Pussycat Lips.  Surround was placed as a 2YO in her two starts in the UK and one as a 3YO in the USA.  Epona Bloodstock bought her as a filly out of training at the Keeneland sales and put her in foal to Caravaggio with Unique Journey being her first foal.  She was barren in 2023 but had a Mehmas colt in 2024 and a Starspangledbanner colt in 2025.  She is now back in foal to Mehmas.

When Unique Journey won at Naas in April by 7½ lengths the handicapper increased his rating by 13 lbs moving him to an O/R of 87.  With some down the field runs in May and June he went to post at the Curragh with an O/R of 83.  On Saturday he broke quickly from the stalls and stayed in a prominent position throughout.  He took the lead 100 yds out and ran on well for a cosy victory.  His two victories have now earned his connections almost €30,000 and another win is likely before the end of the flat racing season.

His half brother by Mehmas sells at Tattersalls Book 2 on October 15th
